Ezrah Aharone is a Hampton University graduate and professor at Delaware State University (DSU), where he teaches Global Societies and specializes in sovereign studies and operational knowledge.

He is the conceptualizer and founding executive director of the Center for Global Africa at DSU that works to advance African-Diasporic engagements and strengthen joint US-Africa governance, policymaking, and socioeconomic productivity.

He commonly makes presentations and interfaces with leaders at the highest levels of government, industry, and civil society in Africa, where he organizes US and Diaspora delegations and missions to problem-solve issues of major impact.

Professor Ezrah is also a seminal author, syndicated columnist, public intellectual, and public diplomat who has lived in several Africa countries, working as a strategist and subject-matter expert to governments, businesses, and institutions, where his relationships span from presidents to everyday people in village life.

African Relations and Expertise

Aharone’s African experience dates to 1981 in Liberia in the field of international trade and investments. Between 1984 and 1992,  Aharone lived in Ghana and Togo, traveled extensively throughout Africa, and attended continental political and economic  conferences where he gained firsthand knowledge of African affairs, skills in diplomacy, and a lasting interest in African affairs.

Since 1992, with African relationships that span everyday people to presidents, Aharone has worked as a consultant on African  initiatives that include the University of Ghana, Legon; the United Nations (UN); the Economic Community of West African States  (ECOWAS); the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA); Harlem Third World Trade Institute; various African ministries; U.S.  Congressional Black Caucus (CBC); Major League Baseball (MLB); National Basketball Association (NBA); and various athletes and  entertainers that include Michael Jordan, Dusty Baker, Robert “Kool” Bell, Jimmy Cliff, Isiah Thomas, and Stevie Wonder.

CGA Founding and APRM Partnership

As an academic practitioner and original thinker, Aharone founded the CGA in 2018 and structured a historic partnership with the  African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM). APRM is an agency of the African Union (AU) that evaluates and improves African  governance and socioeconomic proficiency through slated recommendations that governments implement to accelerate Agenda  2063. The CGA is a futurist think tank, engaged in enterprising research, consultancy, and collaborations for joint US-Africa  productivity, via linking the intellectual capital of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving  Institutions (MSI’s) to African development. Aharone views the CGA and his APRM partnership as pioneering levers to advance 21st-century US-Africa commercial and cultural relations.
